Supporting newlines in tooltips is covered by bug 63824. If you haven't
used all of your bugzilla votes yet, please vote for

You might be interested in knowing that Mozilla is the only browser that
"correctly" supports newlines in prompts. IE, Opera, and NS4 all cut off
long prompt messages. (I put "correctly" in quotes because I'm not sure
whether any standards require newlines in prompts to work.) For an example
