"Supporting newlines" is just wrong. Newlines in attributes should count
as whitespace.
Opera and iCab display the title attribute in the status bar. The
attribute is called "title" attribute is not "tooltip". a One might
argue that for users to are clueful enough to look at the status bar,
the was Opera and iCab do it is better, because you don't have to wait
for the tooltip to show up.
