Ok.

Ok, but what would be nice is to mark selected messages as "protected"
so that they will stay on the server (or be stored locally) and not be
deleted even after being marked "read." This would be easier than having
to save them off to a file if one wants to maintain a history on a
particular topic (like this thread). Gravity (on Windows) has that
functionality. I can delete (purge) all other messages (read or unread)
and the protected ones will stay in the group. This would be a nice
feature to have.

Anyway, thanks for helping clear this up for me.

Cheers,

Chris
