This would be easier than having to save them off to a file if one wants to maintain a history on a particular topic (like this thread). Gravity (on Windows) has that functionality. I can delete (purge) all other messages (read or unread) and the protected ones will stay in the group. This would be a nice feature to have. Anyway, thanks for helping clear this up for me.
