"Soviet worker-style art"?!? Who said that, not me! Oops, caught you with your
"trendy" "anti-establishment" pants down, didn't I comrade!
> is only offensive if it also
>includes red stars.
Not to me. To me it's just silly and stupid, and laughably moreso seeing as the
artist is so unsure of his talents that he has to write "COMMIE" in big red-star
letters all over it, to really 'drive the point home'. Whatever that point is
supposed to be.
That said, I'm sure I could dig up at least two dozen or so Navy aviators who
would be genuinely offended. And some Falun Gong members... well those who
haven't "disappeared". And some Tiannamen Square veterans... well, those who
haven't "disappeared". And some parents of children killed when their
slave-labor fireworks camps colloquilly known as "elementary schools" explode...
well, those who haven't "disappeared".
Pearls before swine, Andy?

Nope, don't see a hint of a commie vibe there. And may I ask what you're using
yeast for?

Huh? I don't think you should be offended at all! Like Mr. Dobbins says, I
think if Mozilla wants to be "hip" and "trendy" and "in-your-face" and
"anti-establishment", it shouldn't do such an ameturish, half-assed job with the
"Chairman's Choice" graphics. Nazi Germany simply had the upper hand when it
came to the graphic arts, so dump the red stars and go to black and white and a
few shades of grey (well, and I guess a little red too). Perhaps a Final
Solution to the "Mozlla NOW!" Problem would be a little graphic reading "IE ist
verboten Gott dammit!!!". And I think you'll agree that nobody could possibly
be offended if you reversed the arms on the swastikas, could they? I mean, even
if someone did bitch, you'd have 'em on a technicality!
Is any of this getting through, Andy?

That would be incredibly sad.

It matters in the extreme Andy. You need some excuse for your immaturity; in a
field of bad choices, I'd say youth and inexperience are the best.
>Certainly, if you check your facts, you might discover I never claimed
>any of the mozilla art was an anti-establishment statement.
Indeed you claim the opposite. I'm curious then as to what you think the
statement of the Maozilla graphics is, if any?
> Or that I'm generally a "Take that establishment" person in any sphere.
Your posts indicate otherwise in this particular case.

>My post was humour. Weak humour, but nevertheless humour. Not over reaction.
*Not* overreaction? My post was little more than a single sentence:
"Why are almost all of them dripping with the Communist vibe?"
Nobody can honestly deny that they are not. However, you proceeded to accuse me
of seeing 'reds everywhere', even taking the time to dig up links to other (as
far as I can tell) completely 'un-commie-vibe' and irrelevant graphics. I'd say
that's overreaction.
>A suggestion you might not want to take this so seriously.

I had simply asked a question. A completely valid question, with absolutely no
indication of how 'seriously' I took the Maozilla graphics. You read that
question, assumed I was about to rail on about how offended I was, and proceeded
to defend the indefensible, deny the fact that the graphics are "neo-Soviet",
aka "commie graphics" with a "commie vibe".
If you're lucky (or is it unlucky, I forget), as you get older you'll figure out
that you can't always fool yourself and others at the same time.
>I see I failed to make that point.
You had no point to make, hence failure to do so would not be unexpected.
> And you started flinging mud at me.
>Ah well.

I called you 'Mr. "Take that establishment!" Overreaction Kiddie.'. Maybe
that's mud, maybe it ain't, and it's certainly not one of my best, but I think I
hit the nail pretty square on the head regardless.
