Unicode display is also failling there.
I can install a new unicode TTF font on MacOS, that can display
character that are not handle by the native fonts and the
language kit in the mac, and Mozilla will not take advantage of it.
The new font will not be listed in the Appearance/Font listing, despite
the fact it will sometimes actually be used !
The characters, supported in the font, but not in the MacOS language
pack will be displayed as "?", even inside a text sample that is
displayed using that very font.
Correcting this would do of Mozilla one of the only application that
could be used to enter Ancient Greek in unicode on Macintosh.
This is the language I discovered this problem for.
I will fill a RFE for that.
