signed applets on NS6

Hello,

I've read occasionally, through this newsgroup, that signed applets 
doesn't work on NS6.  What exactly doesn't work and when is it slated to 
work?  Is there a webpage out there, that currently states this 
information?  I've searched all over for documentation regarding 
security and applets and unless I'm blind (which is always possible) it 
doesn't exist except for NS4.7.
