I tested with IPlanet before posting and it did not prompt. Only the Require SSL Client Authentication setting in IPlanet forced a prompt. I was just wondering if I was missing a setting on the Mozilla browser, or if it never prompts on Optional SSL Client auth.

Yes, it will prompt. And if the user clicks cancel, it will just connect without authentification which you should be able to detect and redirect to the password prompt page. But didn't it take no more than a few minutes to test ? _______________________________________________ Mozilla-security mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-security _______________________________________________ Mozilla-security mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozilla-security
