I'm not convinced by the "let's add another warning" side of this bug.
Especially when I see the reporter suggesting to put it inside a pop-up dialog.
Dialog have proven until now they don't work, so why would this one by any different ?
As the reporter (I wasn't the first one with the ideas) I'm just pointing out that I am no fan of dialogs. I know very well their (in)effectiveness. But since we are currently warning about SSL things in dialogs I think it would be consistent to use these warnings in dialogs as well.
If someone can think of an overhaul for the whole dialog system, I'd probably be happy. You just have to remember that just showing different chrome is not always a good option. For example, the SSL warning dialogs will stop you from sending data to the site if you cancel. Showing you red border after you already sent your credit card number wouldn't be very useful.
