I wonder if remote files that have been downloaded by the browser for rendering locally (e.g., images) are available for use from XPCOM.
I'm seeing some Cache files at: ~/.mozilla/firefox/*.default/Cache but don't really know if these would be of any use for this purpose. Is there perhaps another location for such files? I believe IE exposes those files in the same format as if they had been downloaded manually. Is this not the case for firefox? Thanks.
