Just wanted to add on this. I basically want to save the images etc that are opened up by the user in the Firefox browser, into a local folder.
The cache seems to be storing this, but the name used seems to be encrypted.
So, is there a way to get the actual file name from the cache? or is there a better way to save the images into the local disk?

I want to know the path to the cache directory that Firefox is caching to.
Is there a way to get this programatically at run time?
I know that we can always see this by typing "about:cache"!
in the
address bar... but i need to know the location at runtime for my component.
