Maybe you already know this, maybe I am using obsolete version of lame, but maybe it would help...
when i try to compile lame with gcc-3.0.4 (Mandrake 8.2) with -funroll-loops flag , then 'make test' will crash. But even when I compile with --expopt=full and only comment this unrollingloops out everything works well. I guess it is gcc problem, but maybe it is possible to workaround it somehow... worked well with gcc-3.0.1 -- and as bonus, gcc people didn't fixed athlon optimisation so using -march=athlon -mcpu=athlon will result in lame slowed to one half of lame compiled for pentiumpro. :-( _______________________________________________ mp3encoder mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://minnie.tuhs.org/mailman/listinfo/mp3encoder
