Specifically Mpeg2-layer1 part, since the ISO code doesn't seems tobe working for MPEG2-Layer1. Could you clarify one point: is there a low sampling frequencies part in mpeg2 Layer I (like with mp3), or is that only multichannel extension? It is very likely that mpeg2 Layer I was never implemented, even if it's part of the standard. It is the same situation with Layer III: the mpeg2 multichannel part was never implemented. In the ISO test suite, there is only 1 LayerIII multichannel track, and this one was produced manually.
