I learned this week that some Third Ward residents are so unhappy with
the incumbent City Councilperson that they are advertising in the North
News and Northeaster papers to find an opponent for him. The ad reads:

seeking a politically independent person
to run for election in 2001.

the people.

I heard the group is getting lots of interest, both from
possible candidates and potential campaign supporters.
That's the incumbent doing to make people so unhappy?
