After 3 months as a 'lurker' on the Minneapolis Issues group, I am ready
to come out of the closet and play with the rest of you- provided all of
you will do me a little favor.

It doesn't take a rocket fuel scientist to realize that on this forum
even the most obscure post can result in a week-long 'ping-pong' game of
responses. Some posts that would seem to be rather insignificant can
result in a volley of dozens of responses, each post responding to some
or all of the previous post on the topic. For someone that is trying to
keep up with the exchange of ideas, one of the easiest ways to follow
the conversation is to look at the posting times of the messages.
Theoretically, this should allow anyone to follow a chronological order,
so that the posts and responses make sense. That is, if everyone is
playing on a level playing field.

Which brings up the question, "Does everyone know what time it is?"

Several times in the past three months, I have been sucked into
participating in a 'discussion' and used the posting times to follow the
activities in a logical order only to find that, according to the
posting times, someone is answering a post at a hour/minute that is
shown to be earlier than the original post. Unless some of you are
psychic, it normally would not be possible for someone to answer a
question before the question is even asked.

So my request is a simple one: Please, Please, Please- will all of you,
as a courtesy to others on the list, go to the 'Start Menu', then go to
'Settings', then to 'Control Panel' and finally to 'Time/Date' and
adjust your computer's time clock and date?

If you are not sure what time it is, go to www.timeticker.com, locate
the U.S. Central time zone and this web site will be able to give you
the accurate time to 1/60th of a minute (sometimes referred to as a
'second' in some civilized countries of the world).

Thanks for taking care of this little 'housekeeping' issue for me and
the rest of those that participate or lurk on this forum. It will make
it more fun for all of us. Really!!
