I have to admit I have mixed feelings about this issue. I also
think the "work from home" types of signs that appear in my
neighborhood are trashy and ghettoish. However I used to love
the band posters on telephone poles and miss the days when poles
would grow to incredible widths as layers of posters built up...
anyone remember the pole on the NW corner of 22nd & Lyndale as
it swelled to huge pregnant proportions?
Lately I've seen some beautiful screenprinted posters advertising
Grumpys' bar Monday night city cinema series. In my opinion band
posters, theater posters and others of that type are one of things
that make me feel like I live in a happening neighborhood - things
are going on! Now that they're all illegal by association with
tagging and graffiti, only the ugly ones are left.
