A bunch of list members are working as an ad hoc group to change the Minneapolis DFL constitution. At Saturday's convention, we will propose that the city party be required to elect delegates during the city election year (instead of using delegates elected at the previous year's presidential/Senate/legislative precinct caucuses). We hope that by having a city-specific delegate-selection meeting, we can open up the city endorsement process to all eligible Minneapolis DFLers, rather than those who knew enough to be elected delegates at non-city-specific precinct caucuses 21 months before the city general election. We need more volunteers to help us with various activities on convention day.
