Mr. Rybak has made claims about illegal bundling of money, about elected
officials being "bought" by $50 donations, about corporations buying favor
by directing their employees to donate to campaigns. To be consistent with
the concerns that Mr. Rybak has put out, if it is possible for contributions
from employees of corporations to "taint" a politician as Mr. Rybak has
alleged, then it is also possible for contributions (financial or in-kind
aid) from employees in a union to "taint" a politician. Accepting
non-financial help is the same as accepting financial help given Mr. Rybak's
comments in the past. My question to Mr. Rybak is to understand whether
will be accepting non-monetary aid and going against the philosophy about
campaign contributions that he has put forward or whether he will stay
consistent with the philosophy he has espoused and reject any kind of aid
that would "taint" him.
