I expect our elected officials to work together to solve the budget issues. This year has been and will continue to be an excellent test of leadership and character. Being in chambers when the Minneapolis Charter Commission heard Steve Minn propose to join the operations of the park board and the city was a great moment I my political history. (I think I was the only advocate present).   He was a on the mark.  Maybe he was ahead of our time, a bit to fiscally responsive etc., but seems to me it's the same fiscal issue that is we are forced back into debating. The voters\taxpayers and park lovers were not even given then chance to decide. The unions saw to it that never happened. Minneapolis makes so many decisions in a vacuum. How much of the middle class, moderate income residents are we willing to suck into the suburbs before we get this?
