I will plead a bit of ignorance on this topic as the focus seems to be on elementary school tracking. I do however need some clarfication on the matter.

Are students in these earlier grades pulled out for remedial help with the ability to return to the class once they "catch up" or do such students remain in these pull outs? I ask this because in the past I have had sometimes as many as 60% of my new ninth graders still needing to pass the MBST reading test. If students are given the opportunity to return to their core class, I feel that the pull outs would be beneficial. Help me see more clearly on this issue. . .

Thanks,

Brionna Harder
