We can talk about gentrification, middle class, etc.. but it doesn't have
anything to do with the 5th ward debate or how Don Samuels answered the
question regarding concentration of poverty or how the made-up person "Michelle
Hill" is trying to spin Don's answer by saying he thinks low-income people
should move-out so middle class people can move-in. He didn't say or imply
that.

Folks, watch the tape or listen to MPR your self - Im sure a tape can be
obtained for anyone who wants it - I will get you a copy if you'd like.

Don's answer was simply that middle class families are needed in the inner city
neighborhoods that currently have high levels of poverty & rental properties
so that the neighborhood can be vibrant & healthy. The neighborhood that was
being discussed was Jordan. Jordan has a documented 30% vacancy rate! Empty
houses, for rent houses, for sale houses, boarded properties. 30%!!! No one
needs to move out!! People need to move in!!!!

Don't let focus be diverted from the issues!! Spinsters are hard at work!
