Debate the reasons certain restaurants close all you want, but don't ignore the 
one thing they all had in common:  bad to mediocre food that could be found 
anywhere in the seven county metro.  There is a reason Zelo, Ike's, Bella Notte 
and other, non-chain restaurants are succeeding downtown and it isn't related 
to the smoking ban or simply because of location:  they offer food, drink 
and/or environment/scene that can't be found elsewhere.  Why would I go to 
Olive Garden downtown (or ever, for that matter), pay for parking, deal with 
one-way streets (egad!) if I have one in my local community?
