I was always relieved that, if he did not become our next Mayor, Peter would
still be County Commissioner.

My hope is that Mayor Rybak will now have a staff be a consistent and engaged
presence on the Hopper Work Group that Peter formed . I also expect that the
Mayor will commit in concrete ways to ending homelessness in Mpls. and partner
with St. Paul and the State of Mn in their work to end homelessness.

Our Decrim Task Force recs included recs on Police Protocols. I also would
expect the Mayor -- who has yet to meet with that Decrim Task Force--- to sit
down with our members whom he never met with before and go over all of our recs.

And the reason I voted for Elizabeth Glidden (one at least) is that she
expressed to me a commitment to ending homelessness in Mpls and I would expect
her
to make good on this.
