If you know java you can use some of the built in classes in the java.util.zip to work with streams, which should allow you to write a fairly simple set of exits to compress and decompress the data. It's free and will work on just about any platform.

The data will be compressed down to fit it through the MQ limit of 100 meg. (Forget about segmentation, SeeBeyond in it's wonderfullness does not support it) SO......we need a product that can be called to compress and decompress the data before and after a MQPUT/MQGET. The data is XML, not that I see that as a factor, but someone suggested there was an XML compression utility available. The platform is Solaris. Any suggestions. OH!!! BTW...They want it to be F R E E !!!! (GOD the limitations they put on me!!!!! (haha)) bobbee _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com Instructions for managing your mailing list subscription are provided in the Listserv General Users Guide available at http://www.lsoft.com Archive: http://vm.akh-wien.ac.at/MQSeries.archive Instructions for managing your mailing list subscription are provided in the Listserv General Users Guide available at http://www.lsoft.com Archive: http://vm.akh-wien.ac.at/MQSeries.archive
