Sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression of no connection at all. The connection is at the channel level ie. using distributed queueing. It's just you may well already have your network of queue manager connections defined in terms of transmit queues sender/receiver channels etc, hence you don't have to get the connection information for the relevant queue manager to do a client connection. Also for security reasons you may not wnat to permit client connections.
