All, I need to correct a mistatement in a previous message on this thread. I indicated there was a problem with Paul Clarke's MQMONNTP program (supportpac mo71) not being able to connect to a VAX or Alpha system.
Through further discussion with him, and some assist from other list members, we quickly determined the problem - security issues, aren't they all? - and successfully reconfigured and connected to the systems in question. My original question (the subject of this thead) is now moot - it still remains unanswered, but I guess I can live with that now that I have connectivity ... at least, until next time ...
