Between the lines I guess you can specify a numeric attribute of an object
and place one of the listed operators against it with a specified value.

That would then answer the million dollar - 999,999.98 question.

We have a situation where the app does not behave properly and when the
queue mgr is recycled it doesn't realize that someone just slipped him a
mickie. While they are going to fix the problem someone woke up and said
"Hey if this happens, do we get notified?" I then opened my big mouth and
received a large helping of "You look into it". So with the help of your
answer I can now pay the check, leave the tip and go home.

Thanks Peter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is from the Tivoli for MQ monitors help -

For monitors which monitor resources and determine numeric charac-
     teristics:

     never
Monitor does not trigger a response.

     Greater than
Triggers if the current resource value is greater than the
specified value. To define the highest acceptable limit,
enter a number in the text entry field.

     Less than
Triggers if the current resource value is less than the speci-
fied value. To define the lowest acceptable limit, enter a
number in the text entry field.

     Equal to
Triggers if the current resource value is equal to the speci-
fied value. To define the threshold value, enter a number in
          the text entry field.

     Not equal to
Triggers if the current resource value is not equal to the
specified value. To define the threshold value, enter a
number in the text entry field.

     Increases Beyond
Triggers if the previous resource value is below the threshold
specified in the text field, but the current value is above
the specified threshold. To define the threshold value, enter
a number in the text entry field.

     Decreases Below
Triggers if the previous resource value is above the threshold
specified in the text field, but the current value is below
the specified threshold. To define the threshold value, enter
a number in the text entry field.

     Increase of
Checks the current value against the previous value and
triggers if the difference is greater than or equal to the
threshold specified in the text field. To define the thres-
hold value, enter a number in the text entry field.

     % increase of
Computes the percentage difference between the previous
resource value and the current value and triggers if the per-
centage difference is greater than or equal to the specified
value. To define the threshold percentage increase value,
enter a number in the text entry field.

     Outside range
Triggers if the current value falls outside the specified
range. To define the acceptable range, enter a lower and
upper limit separated by a dash in the text entry field.

Before I go down the merry road.......

Does Tivoli allow the monitoring of Queue Depth with respect to it
growing. Someone on a call indicated it only monitors events. I'm
looking for something simular to what QPASA does, but in Tivoli.
