Hi, I am looking to use SSL on the channels between an OS400 and an OS390 machine. Both machines are on MQ 5.3. All the traffic on the channels is within a LAN. The messages are high value. For a production environment, would it be recommended to get the certificates from an external certification Authority or could something like Digital Certificate Manager (DCM) on OS400 be used to manage/generate the certificates for both machines? >From what I see of SSL on NT, it seems fairly straightforward to configure. Has anyone used it to connect OS400 and OS390? How painful was it? What kind of problems/issues did you encounter? Would the use of SSL be considered overkill in an environment like this? Thanks in advance. ********************************************************************** This e-mail is intended solely for the addressee and is strictly confidential.
