We use the client trigger monitor on Windows and Solaris. Also, a trigger monitor never sends messages. It only does MQGETs from the INIT queue. Well, OK, I suppose if it has to put a trigger message to the DLQ it is doing a PUT. But other than that, a TM never sends messages.

Yesterday I discovered that several applications are using the runmqtmc (client trigger monitor) executable to send messages from the client to the server. The problem is that according to the WMQ 5.3 System Guide this is only available on AIX. We have no AIX servers. Has anyone else used runmqtmc successfully on Solaris? Are there gotchas I need to look out for? We are upgrading our clients from 5.2 to 5.3 (our servers are already 5.3) and I am especially worried this may fail once we upgrade.
