The only gotcha we ran into was an app that was not putting the MQ_STR in
the format and the data was going to another mainframe which was using 500
as the CCSID.

Hi,
We're using the default of 500 for our Qmgr's. Apps requested to change it
to 37 to be able to send square brackets over to AIX. Are there any
potential issues with this ?
