Thanks John, also mention of this in CSD11 ... which we do not have
applied. Not sure if it won't happen with the updated CSD, but you are
correct that it was a reply-to message.

If I understand what the error is saying correctly... The command server
was unable to put a message to the DLQ because of error 2085
(MQRC_UNKNOWN_OBJECT_NAME) which implies that the DLQ does not exist.
However, I have experienced that if you attempt to open a queue and provide
a blank queue name (e.g. copying it directly from the QMGR DEADQ attribute)
you get the same error code. Try the sample put using amqsput "" MYQMGR and
you get a 2085, even though you specified a blank QMgr name.
The MQDLH reason code was 2052 (MQRC_Q_DELETED) which means that the problem
originated when attempting to send a reply to the command, the command
server found the queue had been deleted (after successfully opening the
queue).

DB,
another hint. You wrote "The MQDLH reason code was 2052". 2052 means
"MQRC_Q_DELETED".

the DEADQ correctly once it is created however.

remote admin tool (e. g. MQ-Explorer, MO71 ...) has been started a request
(e. g. a queue list) but ends, before the command server could process this
request. Generally the admin tool creates a temporary reply queue and
deletes it, when the admin tool ends. So the command server tries to put a
msg to a non-existing queue.

attribute DEADQ, but did not create this queue itself.
