I managed to reproduce this crash under Linux Mint 18.1, with Qt 5.8. It does not crash with Qt 5.6. Attached the crash log from AddressSanitizer. By looking at the log, it appears to be this bug: https://bugreports.qt.io/browse/QTBUG-58762 So, unfortunately, I think it is a bug of Qt, or gtk, or both combined.
