Since you mention another hardware keyboard. With the right data, it should also be possible to drive another software that could be beamed over a keyboard too like https://github.com/google/light-my-piano
Small updates: 1) I have a better video of how the current patch works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5C0BWGxvRzE 2) I've got a (really quick) reply from Casio about their keyboards (I had mentioned LK-280 and LK-165): you need to edit the MIDI file by assigning the right-hand part to channel 4, and the left-hand one to channel 3, otherwise the LEDs wouldn't light up / the learning system wouldn't work. They didn't provide more details, but I guess this is still related to using their learning system "off-line", after having transferred a MIDI file to the keyboard memory. I might only guess that, if you stream MIDI events through the MIDI in, then you'd get LEDs lighting up for note-downs on ch 3 & 4, but who knows. Also, no clue as to when the LEDs would turn off here. In case these keyboards work as I'd imagine (when I send note down on the right channel -> LED on, when I send note off -> LED off), then one possible way to use it might be: 1) volume of the keyboard to zero; 2) MuseScore sends MIDI events to the keyboard, no sound as the keyboard volume is zeroed, LEDs light up, then playback is frozen waiting for the user; 3) user presses those keys on the keyboard, MIDI events back to MuseScore (no sound, keyboard volume is zeroed) 4) MuseScore receives MIDI events, plays the notes, unfreezes the playback, repeat from 2) But, without a real instrument at reach, this is just imagination :-)...
