By comparing the .mfm files in the two projects, I found that there was one line different: controller.options = [dso_utf8, dso_autoapply, dso_autocommitret] going back I found that in the query I have to open the controller dropdown, and then the options, and set dso_autoapply, dso_autocommitret to true.
