That would mean this alert is actually useless in an environment with gateways?

All,

We are seeing that we are getting lots of false positive alerts for Failed to 
Connect/Computer Not Reachable for all the servers we have managed via gateways.

This server is online and reporting Agent Healthy and is infact sending alerts!

Q. The ping test to determines the final step before raising this alert is it 
undertaken from the gateway or from somewhere else like the RMS or MS.

This is critical to know as we have in excess of 3,000 servers all behind 
Gateways (different customers)
