It might help to register with ti-me which gives you access to free samples and news on topics of your choice. I find it quite useful and non-invasive. They do read their mail. I was working for them when Jack Kilby invented IC's and when the first production units appeared ($600.00 ea. for a 1 bit FF) I managed to fry 128 of them on a board. The next morning replacements appeared on my desk in a brown paper bag :) When Jack got the Nobel Prize I sent a congratulatory note via ti-me and got a personal response.
