OK, I have that. I am confused about the difference between using the
JTAG pins and the serial programming method. Do you need both?  I know
that pybsl supports the serial programmer, but is there project support
for the flash emulation tool?

Not yet.  I've been working on it for a few months, but haven't got it 
to work yet.
