Providing this software for various platforms could prove to be a pain.
I don't have a BSD machine, and I can't let you have the source code.
Lets get things stable on Linux and Windows first, and then see what we
can do.
I have no idea how much needs changing for BSD. For Linux we use the
ppdev interface to the parallel port. That is Linux specific. I assume a
similar type of interface exists in BSD, but is the API the same? Anyone
can look into this, as the interface is in the open source HIL code in
CVS. I think the closed source is completely generic for any Unix like
machine.
