I just got a new computer w/ Win2000 SP3 on it, and after installing the latest .exe, everything worked just fine (including insight). However, one suggestion, you might add the settings for the "Target settings" in insight in the README-msp430-insight.txt file for quick reference.
Thanks for the .exe! -Mark -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Steve Underwood Sent: Friday, April 25, 2003 4:31 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Mspgcc-users] Installing the Windows installer on NT4.0 Hi all, Has anyone tried installing the windows installer that includes the giveio device driver on NT4.0? I have some complaints that is doesn't work, although it certainly works from some people. The error people get is "The procedure entry point QueryServiceConfig2A could not be located in the dynamic link library ADVAPI32.DLL". I suspect these people are using a fresh install in NT, with no service packs. Iknow NT4.0 was shipped half finished (like a true Microsoft product), and a lot of stuff was added in the service packs. Is there soemthing about controlling services that falls in this category? Can it be worked around?
