My dev host is win2k and I'm using mspgcc toolchain
20041112. I noticed that Insight isn't packaged
anymore - any particular reason?
I have to say praise the folks that worked on mspgcc.
I just spent some frustrating days trying to figure
out how to obtain the result from a 16x16->32 multiply
using TI's IAR EW. The compiler would always clear the
High 16 bits before returning the result in the
registers - arrrgggh. Mspgcc on the other hand returns
the two 16 bit values properly.
Also, I have seen many posts regarding the use and
placement of gdb.ini. Don't even try, instead name the
file '.gdbinit' and place it in your home directory
(\Documents and Settings\<username>\). This works on
my win2k, don't know on other win flavours though.
