I have already updated my binutils to v2.15.96.
msp430-gcc -v
reports "gcc version 3.3"
when I do a cvs "co gcc/gcc-3.4", it reports some updating of
gcc/gcc-3.4/gcc/msp430/
but the files there have no new dates, or additions of 1611 to the
t-msp430 file.
(I'd give more details, exact messages, etc, but my email is not on the
linux machine)
I'm likely just missing something simple...
You will need a more up-to-date binutils
Get the latest snapshot at:
ftp://sourceware.org/pub/binutils/snapshots/
or do the cvs thing.
Also tell us what msp430-gcc -v says :)
