This is the wrong forum to ask questions according to IAR... this
forum is for MSPGCC. That's why there was the hint "Do you ask
questions about Windows in Mac User's Group? ".
Best way to start learning... hm... normally I'd say start with C.
But that wasn't your question, right?
I'd suggest to start with a simple basic system like a main loop
with some sort of output (setup a timer for the system tick and
toggle a pin or something like that). From that point you should
be able to add the functionalities you need for your application.
Up to now I had no problems in writing programs for the MSP
devices. I encountered only house made (awful timing requirements)
or debugging problems (I still haven't found the reason why I
can debug MSP430f14x but not MSP430f44x devices).
