Bad compiler. :) Dynamic linking and relocating code is something that (besides plain academic curiosity) isn't suited for MSPs. If you do it on a portable x86 based system or one of the other multi-MHz many-MB 'microcontroller' systems out there, it will surely be useful. But on a system architecture with a maximum of 256kb flash (currently) and 18kb ram, and only up to 25MHz (usually much less), it is simply stupid to even imagining such a thing. It's like trying complex FFT analysis of HF signals doing floating-point arithmetic on an MSP. And then blaming the compiler for bad optimizing.
