Yes pretty sure you do. Intel has an SCS to SCCM integration, but didn't
find it to be very useful. That was a couple years ago though so they may
have made advances in that. Basically SCCM creates a random MebX password
for each client and stores that in the database encrypted so you couldn't
pull it out and use it a different way.

We created a PowerShell workaround to find systems that weren't compliant,
add them to a collection, then call a separate program to wake the devices
up. You could also use the Alarm clock function of vPro, but that wasn't
around till about AMT 5 or 6 I think and required PowerShell locally so if
you had any XP clients without PowerShell you couldn't touch them either.

Wouldn't you lose the SCCM Console functionality and WOL part if you
provisioned vPro clients outside of SCCM?

Well, correct me if I am wrong but couldn't you technically provision them
without have a cert? It would seem, according to Intel's information, that
you could do the "Host" based provisioning and use SCCM to deploy the
provisioning EXE along with the XML file. Or am I missing something here?

Way to much work to implement.

Unless you already have a full PKI in-place.

Just curious as to who is using this and whether they love it or hate it.
Doesn't seem to be discussed much. Thanks!
