Note that bginfo can query the registry directly and so the last logged in user can be obtained from there.
The In newer OS versions, the reg path for the last logged on user is at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Authentication\LogonUI under LastLoggedOnUser. -Aakash Shah From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Eswar Koneti Sent: Tuesday, December 9, 2014 7:40 PM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [mssms] last logon information - OSD Process you can try the script to get lastlogon username from registry http://blogs.technet.com/b/heyscriptingguy/archive/2007/01/24/how-can-i-get-the-name-of-the-last-user-to-log-on-to-a-computer.aspx to pipe into the bginfo. there are couple of examples given here http://slingfive.com/pages/code/bgInfo_scripts/ try to tweak it. Mike From: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Rajkumar Bhoopathy Sent: Tuesday, December 09, 2014 8:00 AM To: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Subject: [mssms] last logon information - OSD Process Good Morning / Evening, One of the requirement from client is to display background information on the desktop screen (IP Address, MAC address, Logon Server etc..). I was able to find bginfo.exe using which we could provide the information on desktop background. However client is looking for last logon information also to be displayed with other information. Unfortunately the bginfo.exe tool does not provide last logon information. But this tool provides a feature to include a vbs script and create a custom step. Do anybody have a vbs script which can be embedded with tool to facilitate the client requirement. Any help will appreciated.
