Oi!

You should really replace the diskrom anyway, cuz there is an error in the 
original one, 
which can suddenly destroy files, and if you use a new one you could use 
double sided 
disks, and have MUCH quicker formatting. The old rom also made it harder for 
other 
computers to read the disks. I think you might find a new rom on Hans`s site. 
BTW, I 
believe that pin 1 is on the other side than usual on the original drive, so 
you must insert 
a longer cable, and twist it. If you take two metal plates and drill four 
holes in each of 
them according to the holes in the original mounting and the new drive, you 
can easily 
adapt it to use a PC drive.
