Hello, Everybody

I got one TR-GT about few days ago, and I want to make
some modifications on it.

First of all, I want to know how does the MSX-VIEW
rom's work. I want to change it to another ROM, with
other programs, it's just as easy as inhibit it and
hook up another ROM? Or it is a Mapped ROM or anything
weird?

I want to put another flat cable, using the second
floppy pins on MoBo... Can I put one connector at back
of tr?

There is a way to change the slot of the Floppy
Interface? I don't like to use another floppy
interface only to make the Hard Disk as C: and D:.

On MSX, internal floppy drives are always the last ones, after the cartridge interfaces. So if you add a harddrive with 4 partitions, floppy will be E: and F:... I donât think changing the slot of the DiskROM is a good idea. It might break some stuff which expects the DiskROM in slot 3, and besides, the reason for modifying that seems a bit silly anyway, if you ask me :). This is how it works on MSX, if you want the PC drive assignments, get a PC ;p.

I want to know more about it, like the use of Graph,
Kanji, Kana, etc... Where can I find more specific
info?

That one I know... :). From Basic, type _KANJI0, _KANJI1, _KANJI2 or _KANJI3 to go to one of the kanij modes with different resolutions (I believe Kanji3 was highest). Go back to the 'normal' screenmode by typing _ANK. While in a kanji mode, you can enter kana by toggling the Kana key (like CODE on a European computer). Press CTRL-SPACE to make the IME bar appear, in which you can type kana, or romaji which will turn into kana, and combine those into kanji using a built-in dictionary (cycle through options using SPACE, I believe).

About the expansion to 1MB, I've heard that it doesn't
work seamlessly... it's correct? There is another way
to expand the internal memory?

Also I am looking for other ways to expand it, if you
have an Idea... tell me!

A compact flash interface is always a good expansion :).

Bye!
