I don't see why N-Trig is waiting to release the linux firmware loader (and hopefully a version reader). So much for wanting to get involved in the linux community. In looking at the website just now (just in case), I noticed this: Touch input will randomly cease to function with no warning/error. This problem occurs within the first 10 minutes to 1 hour after boot. Input reset does not solve the issue, but a reboot or wake from sleep does. This is one of the things addressed and greatly improved upon in the latest bundle (2.239) to be released by N-trig – the Dell version of which has been released, and the HP version is due to be released by the end of February, pending HP’s approval. That better describes my input dying observations than yours. I'm pretty sure 2.239 was what I had installed the two times it died on me. I'll start keeping careful records once I go back to the current firmwares.
