Hello again,
I reported a problem with evolution and s55 sync a week ago. Since I
haven't found a real solution, I'm back. ;)
At the moment, I get a connection between both clients (evolution / s55)
via bluetooth. Syncing contacts works. Fine up to this point.
The tasks and calendar give me a hard time. Multisync syncs the tasks,
but in case I mark one as completed in evolution, it won't update the
s55 entry, but instead gives a new (same!) entry in evolution (not
marked as completed). No idea what to do about that!
The next - and much bigger - problem: Every event in the calendar is
being duplicated in evolution, but not every event arrives on the s55.
Only a couple of them plus some extra "skrewed up" ones (making almost
no sense at all!).
I don't have a clue what's going on. :(
There are also "bad" entries in my evolution ics calendar file (some
with strange characters and some with additional ones at the end of the
summary). I patched the file by hand and "repaired" it. I did that with
a copy of that file and afterwards wrote it over the original, which
appeared to work (after switching to runlevel 1, since evolution got rid
of my changes somehow). After sync, those entries appeared again. The
strange thing about it is that evolution won't show those entries.
I'm really desperate. I hope somebody can help me. Thanks a lot.
I guess I'll try to delete evolution and multisync from my system and
reinstall both of them again. I don't really thin this will help, but I
do not know what else to do. I really need to sync. Otherwise I'll need
to switch back to windows ... ;(
I'd like to install multisync from source (newest CVS), but that doesn't
work, because make fails:
