Hi !

As far as web services are here. There basic purpose to provide well designed,
platform & Language Independent interface to your Logic, Web App. Etc. Its much more
the case that people wants to use your logic from different OSs/ Languages (i.e. VB6,
Java, etc.) If you don't want to expose your logic at all, you should'nt think of web
services. Of the clients are .NET Clients you should go for .NET Remoting Framework.
This will give a performance boost to your web app. too.

If you have been given any power don't misuse and increase your overheads. In your
case, you don't even need Web Services. But if you have any plans for distributing
them on many sites (i.e. like Microsoft Passpost is an Web Service for Security
purpose.)

.NET Remoting is much faster approach than XML Web Services, by the time the clients
are .NET clients. If u have any non .NET clients. you shud go 4 Web Services.

Hope this helps you out.

take care...<o:p></o:p>
