Yeah, thats exactly what I did and if you read the email I sent to the list it shows exactly that below. Me running the daemon with --debug to stdout and it defaults to reading the /etc/reader.conf which does exactly what you said, it follows the LIBPATH line. Unfortunatly, thats now how the documentation says it should be configured for USB. So how do I configure it for USB?

Try the following:

% /usr/local/sbin/pcscd -c /etc/reader.conf --debug stdout

make sure the LIBPATH in reader.conf points to where u want it to point to
and the channel id is correct

good luck

Hello list,

I am trying to setup m.u.s.c.l.e with a schlumberger 32kv2 card and an
activcard card reader. I have this :

ccid-0.4.1 pcsc-lite-1.1.1-1-redhat.i386.rpm
ccid-0.4.1.tar.gz slb_rf72
libusb-0.1.7-5.i686.rpm slb_rf72-drv-1.1.0.tar.gz
libusb-devel-0.1.7-5.i686.rpm slb_rfUSB
muscleframework-1.1.3 slb_rfUSB-drv-0.9.0.tar.gz
muscleframework-1.1.3.tar.gz

Initially I compiled the pcsc-lite from source but I was having trouble so
I used the rpm shown above. My card reader is a usb cardreader so I
should be using either the ccid or slb_rfUSB bundles but pcsc-lite always
reads /etc/reader.conf and looks for the bundle listed in the file. How
do i make it use the usb bundle?

[EMAIL PROTECTED] CACCARDS]# /usr/local/sbin/pcscd --debug stdout
pcscdaemon.c:258 main: debug messages to stdout
readerfactory.c:1317 RFInitializeReader: Attempting startup of
Schlumberger Reflex 72 0 0.
dyn_unix.c:32 DYN_LoadLibrary: dlerror() reports /usr/lib/libslb_rf72.so:
cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
readerfactory.c:219 RFAddReader: Schlumberger Reflex 72 init failed.
pcscdaemon.c:413 main: pcsc-lite daemon ready.
pcscdaemon.c:470 Preparing for suicide
winscard_msg.c:247 SHMProcessEvents: Select returns with failure:

SHMProcessEvents
readerfactory.c:1610 RFCleanupReaders: entering cleaning function
pcscdaemon.c:438 at_exit: cleaning /tmp/pcsc

You can see above it is reading the /etc/reader.conf and expecting a
serial cardreader, unfortunatly thats not what I have. I would like to
use these bundles:

/usr/local/pcsc/drivers/ifd-ccid.bundle/Contents/Linux/libccid.so.0.4.1

or

/usr/local/pcsc/drivers/slbReflexUSB.bundle/Contents/Linux/reflex_usb

How do I configure that?

Thanks,

Jonathan
